Please save the date for the FMDSA Patient Symposium, taking place Thursday afternoon, November 5, and Friday, November 6, 2026, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
For the first time, the FMDSA Patient Symposium will begin immediately following the ALIGN-FMD International Research Meeting, creating a unique opportunity for patients and families to hear directly from many of the world’s leading FMD researchers while they are gathered in one place.
Attendees will learn about the latest discoveries in fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) and related vascular conditions, including spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD), hear updates from international research teams, and learn how these advances are helping move the field toward better understanding, diagnosis, and care for patients.

Thursday, November 5
- 12:30 p.m. – Patient Symposium begins at the University of Michigan, immediately following the ALIGN-FMD International Research Meeting.
- Sessions are expected to conclude around 4:00 p.m.
- Join us that evening for a Meet & Greet Reception at the Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor, where you’ll have an opportunity to connect with fellow patients, physicians, and researchers. We will also have a fun raffle!
Friday, November 6
- 8:30 a.m. – The symposium continues at the Graduate by Hilton Ann Arbor with a full day of educational presentations and discussions.

Weber Hotel
Although the symposium is no longer being held at the Weber Hotel, they have continued to work with FMDSA and have provided an additional room block for our attendees.

Important Hotel Information
Because the University of Michigan has a home football game on Saturday, hotel availability throughout Ann Arbor is extremely limited, and many hotels require a two-night minimum stay that includes Friday night.
To provide attendees with the best options, FMDSA has secured discounted room blocks for Wednesday and Thursday nights. After Friday’s symposium, attendees can choose the accommodations that best fit their travel plans—whether that means traveling home after the meeting, staying near the airport, or extending their stay elsewhere.

We’ve chosen the tree to represent the Fibromuscular Dysplasia Society of America for these reasons, and because the tree’s branches and roots signify the arteries affected by this disease. The tree’s branches, reaching upward and outward, provide protection and shelter, and represent our mission to help those who’ve been diagnosed with FMD. Trees, strengthened by their continuously spreading roots, symbolize how as we grow together we are stronger and more resilient. As with its growth from a delicate sapling to a giant robust tree, and as its branches and roots grow and spread, the tree symbol represents how we’ve evolved and continue to promote research, education and patient support throughout the years. Together we can achieve much, as we strive to reach for the sky.
